Phase 2 Estimating & Sales

During Phase 2, which will cover weeks 2 & 3, you will continue building on what you learned in Phase 1 by shadowing your colleagues, supporting them in their task completion, and completing tasks on your own. You will dive deep into the first half of our primary SOPs.

• Focus on the chronology of a bid from ITB to negotiation, award & hand off.


• You will be exposed to our computer programs, systems and documentation.


• Our vendors are one of our greatest sources of education. They are eager to teach us about their products so we can effectively bid with and sell their products. In Phase 2, you will be introduced to many of our strategic manufacturing partners in the industry.


• Throughout this phase, shadow your manager and onboarding partner to see how jobs move from bid to project management, and participate in internal bid reviews or sales pursuit meetings to see how decisions are made.


• By the end of Phase 2, you should be comfortable completing small estimates on your own and compiling the required documentation to review with your manager.


• You’ll review your progress and questions during your Midpoint Check-In with your manager and onboarding partner.
